Travels
by Maria Cinanni
You come from a rich name,
I built a great castle,
You bought a Van Gogh,
I painted the sky,
You've climbed the Tour Eiffel,
I swam in the ocean,
You've won the marathon,
I've learnt to fly,
You saw the Grand Canyon,
I climbed a mountain.
You were here,
I was there.
You...me...and
The child...
...I saw a goat
And a horse, and a pony,
For the first time in my life.
Living in that sort of city,
You know how it was.
But now, but now,
I can’t believe what I see...
Peace.
