Sea Satori

by Akin Olatidoye

Doubly a stranger there
Like a visitor doomed
For surprises

The blanched sea
Eyes with envy
One that is of a darker tan

On the promenade
The telescope in my skull:
Sea gulls, their raspy bugles
The simmering ship of sunlite
Crawls to DEAD WEST

With them
I am one.
