Drip drip drip. The fluid trickles

down      catheter walls      through narrow

needle routes      stuck in skin.      Metastasized cells

battle chemo      therapy every week. Your body

weary      your veins flood      a potent liquid      nausea

swirling through your belly, your throat      corrosive. Sore.

Sore corrosive throat, your belly threw swirling

nausea-liquid, potent.      A flooded vein, your weary body.     

You’re weak every therapy      chemo

battles cells, metastasized.      Skin in stuck routes, needle narrow

through walls      catheter down
