The Snow That Fell on the House

by Natalie Crick

The snow fell on the house.

There's been nowhere else to go

Ever since they found each other.

She cannot find a friend.

Walking on her hands,

Her face was like a boned moon.

The snow fell on the house.

When the dark clouds have lifted

The windows are misted.

She's in that mood.

It's taking over her.

He's looking for a mistake.

One touch can turn him around.

The snow fell on the house.

They are kissing and falling

Because they are human.

The witchery in her eyes

Casts a spell.

She's given birth to a baby.

There's been nowhere else to go

Ever since they found each other.
