Travel Advice from Whistling Shade
What I have learned in the jungles of Guatemala
by Kelly Westhoff
1. I have learned that I possess a curious knack for attracting cockroaches.
2. I have learned that you shouldn't step on a cockroach as a means to kill it.
Cockroaches' eggs are stored in their abdomens and will squirt across the room
when the roach is stomped.

4. I have learned that when you step on a cockroach with barefeet, it sticks
